Shoot 7 - Work diary

Shoot 6 - Work diary:

Evaluation:
In today's session I found that I was stuck for ideas of where to take my work with the topic of evidence. I had found that I had run out of ideas from what I initially thought about the shoot. I went out on a shoot to try and find some inspiration. The images I produced were all showing different evidences as I didn't  have a theme for this shoot. From this shoot I have decided that i would like to make sure that I have a theme for each of my shoots as I find that its a easier way for me to work and for me to be able to show a true evidence.

The image above  would be a evidence of human presence, and these people interacting with each other. This image shows people sat together in a relaxed way. I like this image because there is no real meaning to it and it doesn't look as if it has been set up purely for the photo.

I like the image above, as I have used the word evidence to show an evidence. I have used the literal work to show how common evidence can be. The fact that the word is written on some paper is using the idea that the word evidence can be used to shoe evidence. For this idea, it shows how the evidence itself doesn't always need to be out rightly shown, just the word evidence is proof enough that their is actually some form of evidence.

Progression:
In my next session I am going to move back to the theme of emotions. I am going to be focussing in the studio again and try to show a persons real emotions and hopefully step away from forced emotions. I am also going to try to show this through some self portraits as its something that I haven't yet tried but think will work well for this topic. I am allow going to work on some shoots at home as I think that for some of my ideas this will make them easier to achieve. I am going to look at fashion and relationships as a starting point.

Shoot 4 - Work diary

Vandalism shoot - Work diary

Evaluation
In today's session I focused on the topic of vandalism, I looked at this by looking at things like graffiti and broken fences. I found that while shooting this topic I could find quite a lot of things to photograph and found that i had enough images to be done with this topic for now. While shooting this topic i found myself getting bored of the images that i was photographing as I found they were quite repetitive and i struggled to find any original ideas for me to focus on.

I like the image above as i like that you can clearly see that someone has vandalised over this sign. This is a direct evidence that someone has created some vandalism on a sign that has been put in place for people to obey. I think that this idea of vandalism shows how people disagree with signs like this and also use vandalism as an act or rebelling.

The image above is also a good way of showing evidence however its unclear as to whether the paint has worn off itself or as to whether it has been vandalised, I like this image as i like the fact that you can't tell how the object has been damaged. it still fits in with my topic of damage and vandalism however it looks at it in a different way to most of the images i took.

Progression:

In todays session i ignored my idea of looking at the more simple vandalism and effects of humans with things like foot prints and rubbish, so this will be something i look at in my next sessions. I am also going to look at signs around streets and roads and where possible show how the are being obeyed or ignored.

Shoot 3 - work diary

Natural evidence shoot - Work diary

Evaluation: In today's session I was focusing on the topic of natural evidence. I think that in this session I was not taking as many photos as i had usually been, I found that I was struggling for ideas and was not enjoying the subject as much as i had hoped. I had set out to do this topic so that I could explore further the idea of evidence and explore a different aspect. I didn't really enjoy this topic and have decided I don't want to take this theme further.

The photo above is one of my best original ideas of showing evidence. The theme in this image is the different variety's of colours of different bushes. In this image i decided to join the two images together as it is a creative way of showing the two images in one picture.

I have chosen the image above as i think that its a interesting way of showing evidence. In this image I like the way the way that a form of natural evidence has grown on to something that has been put there by man. This idea of joining the idea of natural and man made evidence has been made a point of interest to me and I will explore this topic further in future sessions.

The image above is an example of peoples height. I decided to show the idea of height by photographing multiple together and show their different heights together, by doing this i am showing hoe different people all naturally stop growing at different heights and it is not possible to control your own height. This idea is also something I can explore further as i could find the different things in people that are natural that they have no control over.

Progression:
After today's shoot i am going to leave the idea of natural evidence for the moment and move on to a new topic. For the next session I am going to focus on vandalism and the effects of humans. I am going to do this by looking at things like footprints and rubbish as well as simple ways that you can tell that a person has been around or affected somewhere.
